Speaking of books: Yesterday I saw a report (in German) about Kate Brooks and her work as a photo journalist since 9/11 and she really impressed me! For ten years now she´s following the events in the Middle East. She documented the effects of U.S. foreign policy on the civilian population of the region as well as the hunt for Osama Bin Laden and the invasion of U.S. troops in Iraq. She visited Iran, was in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Egypt and Libya. Next month will be released her photographic diary In the Light of Darkness: A Photographer´s Journey after 9/11.
